Some Internet users didn’t like the line.
American rapper Megan Thee Stallonethe new song “Neva Play”, with Behind the scenes‘S RMIt came out today. RM is seen and heard in a way we’ve never seen before. His voice is even deeper than usual, and since he’s in the military, he’s in the music video via animation.
ARMYs were not prepared for RM’s deep, sexy voice. His part sent the fandom into a collective meltdown.

maybe the fact that it’s not in the music video is the best thing because imagine if we could actually see it from this angle… https://t.co/1zfORAMMYC

Yet, some netizens are not fans of RM’s feature. One line in particular has caught the attention online, making everyone angry. On Megan Thee Stallion’s song, RM says, “We paved the way” which non-fans didn’t appreciate.

The phrase ended up trending on X (formerly Twitter) with 76.1K related posts as of this writing. However, it wasn’t entirely right. Part of the online outcry was due to the misunderstanding of RM’s phrase. Some netizens interrupted RM’s phrase by saying that “Asian men led the way.”
The actual text is “For Asia, my friend, we have paved the way,” meaning that Asia led the way, not specifically him or Asian men.
Okay, ARMY
I KNOW he’s not saying “Asia-man”
He’s saying “Asia, man”BUT YOU CAN’T MAKE IT A TREND
Punctuation is not trendy
I never thought anyone would think it was called “asia-man”.
You have to write it like
FOR ASIA MAN WE HAVE PAVED THE WAY
Here’s why we were once trending “s out… https://t.co/UX8NS3CXit
