On September 12, the leader of BTS RM (real name Kim Namjoon) marked his birthday by making two generous donations to the main hospitals in Korea.
According to medical officials, RM donated ₩ 100 million to the Soul Asan medical center and another ₩ 100 million to the medical center of the University of Korea for their development fund.
Explaining his decision, he said RM “I wanted to take part in something significant for my birthday. I hope this donation can also offer a little help to patients who have a desperate need for care but are struggling financially.”
The Soul Asan Medical Center has announced that the donation of MRI will be assigned to cover surgery and treatment costs for economically disadvantaged patients. Likewise, the Korea University medical center has confirmed that the contribution will be used to improve medical structures and expand health services.
The member of the BTS, widely admired for his philanthropy, has again shown his commitment to have a positive impact beyond the stage.
