At the 2024 Billboard Music Awards held online, BTS Jungkook solidified his status in the music industry after winning two awards.
The global icon won “Top K-pop Album” with his first studio album “GOLDEN,” as well as “Top Global K-pop Song” with the title track “Standing Next to You.” He was declared the winner of the latter for two consecutive years, following his solo hit single “Seven”.
Jungkook is nominated in 5 categories (for a total of 6 nominations) at this year’s edition #BBMA. Congratulations Jungkook! 🏆

Among his BBMA nominations in the K-pop categories, he failed to secure the title of “Top Global K-pop Artist”, losing the title to Stray Kids.
Unfortunately, it also failed to win the global awards for “Best Selling Song” and “Best Selling Artist”. Country music singer and rapper Shaboozey reigned in this category with his song “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”
However, these awards are still significant to ARMYs (fandom) as the icon achieved all these achievements despite actively serving in the military.
This not only confirmed BTS’s popularity and influence in the United States, but also solidified Jungkook’s position in the music market as a solo artist.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN, in addition to BTS and Stray Kids, also emerged as a K-pop group by winning an award from the BBMA. In the K-pop category, the team won the “Top K-pop Touring Artist” award.
