On the morning of February 26, a production press conference of “Boyfriend on Demand” was held at JW Marriott Dongdaemun in Jongno, Seoul. The event was attended by actress Jisoo, actor Seo In Guk and director Kim Jung Sik.
“Boyfriend on Demand” is a romantic comedy about Mi Rae (played by Jisoo), a webtoon producer exhausted from real life who signs up and experiences romance through a virtual dating simulation, bringing the romance of her dreams to life.
Director Kim Jung Sik revealed that Jisoo’s role is central to the series. “Within a project there are different themes and character variations, but Jisoo appears in more than 95% of the scenes.” he explained.

He continued: “We gave her different settings and characters to play, and she handled them all. He worked incredibly hard and proved that hard work can beat talent. She worked very hard on set and did an excellent job. We started filming with a smile and ended with a smile. I was so impressed that I also wanted to hire her as an assistant director: I would like to work with her on the directing team because of her hard work.“

The director also shared his thoughts on the casting of Seo In Guk. “If you watch the series until the end, there will be arguments about why Seo In Guk should be chosen,” he said confidently. “Even on the days he wasn’t filming, he would come to the set to rehearse with Jisoo. As a senior actor, he knows how to guide his junior co-star and is very considerate towards his scene partners. When necessary, he is willing to sacrifice himself so that the other actor can shine. He’s a true professional.“
With strong praise from the director and growing anticipation from fans, “Boyfriend on Demand” will premiere on Netflix on March 6.
