Recently, BLACKPINK’s Lisa had an interview with fashion magazine Vogue Thailand, where she revealed various mindsets and interesting anecdotes about herself.
In particular, when asked about the difference in releasing a solo song (versus group releases like in BLACKPINK), Lisa admitted that she had to adapt a lot.
“It’s different because I have to control the stage myself for the whole track. I feel a little pressured because people will be bored. What should I do? I think a lot about how I will control the public,” the female idol stated.
According to Lisa, her latest inspiration was the Spanish singer Rosalía, who has a “strong sense of self”, along with an extraordinary identity and culture.
On top of that, Lisa confessed that whenever she gets the chance, she wants to add a little Thainess to her work, stating: “Because that’s who I am. I’m Thai. Even though I’m trying new styles these days, I still want to maintain Lisa’s identity. No matter what style I try, I don’t want people to think it’s too weird.”
Lisa then shared that she feels happy to finally be able to do something she’s always wanted to do now that she can handle everything and come up with ideas.
“I enjoy it when I get to do things on my own and I’m happy that everyone likes it. Everyone’s response has been truly amazing and supportive. People keep saying things like, “It doesn’t matter what you do, just do it.” We’ll be rooting for you here,’ so it makes me enjoy working even more. I am happy…”, remembered the female idol.
Ultimately, Lisa confessed that her true personality is that of an easy-going person.
“Everything is fine. When I’m with friends, I’m not the type to say we have to go here or there. I let my friends decide where we go today and I’m fine with anything. I like staying at home too. I like being with cats, being with friends. But if I’m with someone I don’t know or am close to, I become a little introverted,” he said.
