BLACKPINK Jisoothe latest project of Newtopiawill begin airing early next month. Newtopia is set during a zombie outbreak and features a couple, played by Jisoo and the actor Jung Min Parkstruggling to find themselves.
With the release so close, the stars began promotional work, appearing on variety shows. The YouTube channel on January 23rd Studio Chika Chika shared an interview with Park Jung Min and Jisoo.
During the video, Jisoo and Jung Min shared an anecdote about becoming a couple for the shoot, mentioning that they met with the director before the shoot to take photos. These photos were intended to serve as “couple photos” for the series, likely to be used in shoots.
While taking the photos, the director asked them if they could meet somewhere and take the images alone. So, the on-screen couple ended up going on a “date” at Lotte World to take these photos.
The two stars spoke about their difficulty taking the photos due to worries about Jisoo being recognized. After picking them up, they hilariously realized that their efforts to hide their identities made the setting unrecognizable and didn’t seem very “couple-like.” However, they said the experience was still fun looking back.
