The Korea Business Research Institute unveiled girl group brand reputation rankings in January 2025, showing BLACKPINK’s star power as they once again reign supreme, even during their hiatus.
The quartet (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) achieved a reputation index of 10,162,333, a 24% decline from the December 2024 index, according to the analysis.
Despite the drop, thanks to the keywords “APT.”, “Rosé” and “Billboard” they still managed to take first place. The “Pink Venom” singers’ highest-ranking words were “total kill,” “overcome” and “record.”
The female group also achieved 92.89% positive reactions for this month.
Rosé’s recent success stemming from her collaboration with Bruno Mars, as well as the release of her solo album “rosie”, have evidently become the driving force behind the group’s new dominance on the reputation chart, which has been unbroken since November 2024.
Additionally, BLACKPINK will reportedly return this year, releasing a full album and embarking on a world tour after their two-year hiatus.
BLINK (BLACKPINK’s fandom) is also awaiting Jisoo’s acting comeback and rumored musical comeback in February, following her three co-members’ solo works last year.
Meanwhile, aespa (Karina, Winter, NingNing, Giselle) became the second most popular girl group, earning a total reputation index of 6,400,635, an increase of 39.90% compared to December’s score. The “Supernova” hitmaker has been firmly in second place since October.
On January 11 and 12, the SM Entertainment girl group stunned with their performance of f(x)’s “Rum Pum Pum Pum” at SMTOWN Live 2025 in Seoul. MY (Aespa fans) are now buzzing in anticipation of a higher ranking for the quartet in February.
