On October 23 this was reported KBS banned the idol’s hit song. The reason for the ban was reportedly due to the song naming a specific brand.
According to reports, the ban means that “Mantra” would essentially be blacklisted by KBS and its programs. Jennie could send a censored version of the song to overturn the ban.
This isn’t the first time KBS has banned Jennie’s song. Previously, it was reported that the group’s song “Pink Venom” was also banned due to a specific brand name. The censorship is due to Korean law prohibiting excessive advertising in the media.
