An “Encore Concert” in K-Pop is not a new concept: idol groups, after holding a successful concert and/or tour, respond to overwhelming fan requests with additional performances.
So it was for TXT and their “ACT: PROMISE” world tour. From May to October 2024, TXT performed 28 shows in 17 stops around the world, followed by five “encore” concerts in Korea and Japan in November 2024.
Given the rigorous schedule and, more importantly, how overworked and even sick the members had become, fans believed that the five encore concerts in Asia marked the end of the “ACT: PROMISE” world tour.
Hueningkai admits he had to leave the TXT concert halfway due to health complications
On January 6th and in the following days, however, GREAT MUSIC announced an “EP. 2” of the “ACT: PROMISE” world tour: an encore of an encore, so to speak. According to the announcements, TXT will do an encore tour from March to May 2025, performing 22 shows in 14 stops.

Of course, the announcements came as good news for some fans who were unable to attend the “ACT: PROMISE” world tour and its encore concerts.

On the other hand, fans, including Korean netizens via online communities such as theqoo– were disappointed and criticized BIGHIT MUSIC for prioritizing profit over the well-being of its idols.
- “Sigh… Please let them take a break. Regroup and start a new tour. If going on tour is That important, finally make an effort to put it together. What is this?”
- “The fact is that… their contract renewal is not far away. If members renew, the profit distribution could change, so BIGHIT is squeezing out as much profit as possible before that. It’s obvious that whether TXT renews or not, BIGHIT is putting their all into getting the most out of the members right now.
- “An encore for an encore concert…? It’s excessive. Is BIGHIT that short of money?”
- “Given what happened to ENHYPEN, and now TXT, all I can think is… ‘BIGHIT must be really desperate for money right now.’”
