The members of BIGBANG wowed everyone with the group’s new content, in which they shared which junior K-pop groups caught their attention.

On November 5, “ZIP DAESUNG” released its 29th episode featuring BIGBANG members Daesung, Taeyang and G-Dragon. The episode featured the trio chatting with each other over a meal and a couple of drinks. The VIPs were more than happy to see the reunion.

At the 13:55 mark of the video, they were asked if any junior artists in the K-pop industry had piqued their interest. “Are there any junior guys that BIGBANG is keeping an eye on?” asked the show director.

Daesung immediately replied, “Junior? In my case it’s MEOVV and BABYMONSTER.”

After hearing Daesung’s response, G-Dragon took the opportunity to jokingly say, “Blood is thicker than water,” since MEOVV debuted under Teddy’s agency THEBLACKLABEL and BABYMONSTER of YG Entertainment.

Daesung also added that aespa was a promising junior group.

He asked, “Which idols are you keeping an eye on, Taeyang?”

Taeyang responded that although the group he had in mind was not a rookie act, the group still left a lasting impression on him. He revealed that the group was SEVENTEEN.

“I think it was SEVENTEEN’s stage debut. We saw their rehearsals and I said, ‘This group is definitely going to be successful.’ I don’t even remember the song and everything, but the energy they showed on stage is very important and I felt it.”
