ON January 17thBig Planet Made (BPM) Entertainment has responded to rumors regarding fromis_9 members joining their agency. That day, it was reported that five of fromis_9’s eight members had decided to sign with BPM, while the remaining three were exploring contracts with other agencies.
BPM, however, promptly rejected the arguments, specifying: “The article published today that five members of fromis_9 will move to our agency is unfounded.” This clarification puts an end to speculation about the group’s next steps.
fromis_9 debuted in 2018 under the CJ ENM subsidiary Off-the-record entertainment after being trained through the survival show “School of idols”. In 2021 they switched to PLEDIS Entertainmenta move intended to enhance their growth and provide comprehensive management support. The group enjoyed continued success under PLEDIS, releasing popular songs such as “DM” and “Stay like this.”
However, inside November 2024PLEDIS Entertainment announced that all eight members of fromis_9 will leave the agency following the conclusion of their contracts December 31, 2024. The statement assures fans that the decision was made after in-depth discussions with each member regarding their future paths.
As of now, the members of fromis_9 have not yet revealed any confirmed plans for their next steps.
