Baekhyun Apologizes After Smoking Video Leaks: ‘I Didn’t Know It Was Banned’

EXO’s Baekhyun has apologized following fan criticism over a leaked video of him smoking at a club in Macau.

On September 16, INB100 released a statement regarding their CEO and artist’s vaping issue. This came after a smoking video and photos of Baekhyun circulated on SNS and online communities earlier that day.

Apparently, these photos were taken during the K-pop icon’s post-performance party in Macau, and the place was rented by the idol to party with his staff in private. However, someone took photos and recorded what happened inside without the star’s consent, which were eventually leaked online.

The singer ended up being targeted by negative comments from K-Netz. While many fans also blamed the person responsible for the leak, Baekhyun took to his company’s official account to publicly apologize for what happened.

Here he clarified that he was unaware of the venue’s rules and regulations regarding vaping and apologized for disappointing fans with his careless behavior.

Here is EXO’s Baekhyun’s full apology:

“Hello. I’m INB100.

We sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable after seeing the video of our artist Baekhyun smoking at home that is currently spreading online.

At the time, Baekhyun and our staff were completely unaware that e-cigarettes were prohibited in Macau. In the midst of all this, during a meal with the staff after the performance in Macau, Baekhyun unconsciously used an e-cigarette as the conversation became more heated..
