On Instagram, the agency pointed out the similarities between Baek Yerin’s “0310” and Ha Sungwoon’s “What Are We.” However, they first apologized to Ha Sungwoon and his fans for the inconvenience caused by the controversy. They also apologized to Baek Yerin’s fans.
After noting Baek Yerin’s decision to mention the OST in his Instagram Stories, the company mentioned several factors, such as the song’s overall structure, chord progression, and various standards for determining plagiarism.
They then shared that the two songs will be sent to music experts for analysis. The agency also clarified that the issue is solely with the composition of the song and not Ha Sungwoon, who only lent his voice to the OST.
The agency encouraged fans to refrain from mentioning other artists to avoid further discussion, given the number of messages sent to both singers on social media. The company also looks forward to the OST composer’s statement and apology through direct communication.
