Apart from the TVN “The genius Paik 3” and the original Netflix series “Culinary Class Wars Season 2”who have finished shooting or are currently in production, Baek will not appear in any future television program.
On May 6, Baek published a video entitled “Starting from the beginning” on his official YouTube channel.
In the video, he said, “I took time to reflect deeply and examine the entire organization in relation to various problems of the company. Currently we are identifying the causes at the root of problems, including the quality of the product, food safety and hygiene to the festival events and we are working on improvements one by one.”
Assuming full responsibility, added Baek, “All problems derive from me. I realized that only by changing myself can a real change occur. With a painful determination, I will review the organization and transformed our corporate culture through direct communication with all employees.”
He continued, “What hurts me most at the moment is the desperate situation faced by our franchising owners. They are our partners and like the family for Theborn Korea. As soon as we established an emergency support plan, I personally visited the field to listen to their voices. From that experience, I have made a resolution:” From now, not a single franchise owner will be left behind. “In addition to the emergency plan previously announced, we will implement vast scale for the brand.
Baek stressed, “A successful franchising leads to a successful headquarters, which in turn benefits our shareholders. To go far together with our franchise owners, I will not let my hands go to the end. I will go back to my roots and start again.”
As for the accusations of “transmission power abuse,” he said, “This is also my fault. I am taking criticism seriously. If my words or actions in the process of production of entertainment content have damaged anyone, this is completely my responsibility. I received much more love than I deserved and I should have remained humble. I apologize sincerely. From this moment on, apart from the shows currently in production, I will cease all the transmission activities.”
In the meantime, Thebory’s Korea has been involved in various disputes since it was listed on Kospi on November 6, 2024. These include the poor quality of Bbaek-Ham, violations of hygiene, violations of violations of agricultural land, alleged food interviews from alcohol by managers, origins of the processed product and use of industrial metal dishes.
