YG Entertainment’s rookie girl group BABYMONSTER shared updates on their life and career, including their newfound independence and creative collaborations, during a guest appearance on KBS Cool FM’s “Lee Eun-ji’s Music Plaza”. on November 15th.
Dorm life
The members proudly revealed that just seven months after their debut, they each moved into separate rooms in their own dorm. When asked if they get tired of being together all day, they explained: “That’s why we have our own rooms. Personal time is important. We barely leave our rooms.However, they shared that they still love bonding moments, like watching their musical performances together.
G-Dragon’s involvement
BABYMONSTER also shared their enthusiasm for G-Dragon’s contribution to their latest song, “DRIP”. The K-pop icon not only co-composed the song, but also recorded a demo version of Asa’s rap part, showing his support for the group. “We received a lot of help from senior artists,” they said, expressing gratitude for the guidance they received.

Ahyeon jokingly mentioned wanting to steal a jacket-removing move performed by Chikita in their choreography, jokingly adding, “I’d like to try it, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to do it.“
When asked about the dynamics of the dorm, Ruka revealed how the members are divided across two floors: “Rora, Pharita, Ahyeon, and I live on one floor, while Chiquita, Rami, and Asa live on the other.“They also jokingly argued about who is the hardest working and the laziest, with Pharita noting:”Chiquita has been sleeping and eating a lot since she was the youngest.“Meanwhile, Rami jokingly added:”Asa Unnie is always the last to arrive at the elevator.“
