ATTRAKT has filed a lawsuit against Warner Music Korea for allegedly collaborating with former FIFTY FIFTY members Saena, Sio, and Aran, violating their exclusivity contracts.
As for the audio files released by Dispatch on September 11, the recordings showed disparaging comments towards ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon, as well as discussions about some of the strategies used by members to violate contracts with ATTRAKT.
Secret meetings also took place between The Givers CEO Ahn Sung Il, Warner Music Korea CFO Jin Seung Young, former FIFTY FIFTY members Saena, Sio, Aran, and their parents.
On September 13, ATTRAKT finally announced that they had collected legal evidence proving the alleged collusion between Warner Music Korea, The Givers, and former FIFTY FIFTY members.
ATTRAKT stated that the complaining parties had filed a temporary injunction against ATTRAKT to suspend the effectiveness of their contracts on June 19, 2023.
The agency continued its stance against Warner Music Korea, claiming that the music label attempted to “illegally kidnap” their former artists through financial skill and coercion. ATTRAKT concluded that the agency is exploring all legal options against the company.
