On the 14th, Attract released a statement saying: “We have obtained all legal evidence proving that Warner Music Korea, The Givers, and former FIFTY FIFTY members Aran, Saena, and Sio conspired to violate their exclusive contracts and attempted to tamper with them.”
They continued, “We have secured the voice recordings of the meetings of May 13, May 17, and June 6, 2023, along with other materials. These tampering forces, in accordance with the plans discussed in their voice recordings, filed a temporary injunction on June 19, 2023 to suspend the effect of their exclusive contracts with Attract.”
Attract added, “The issues raised by former FIFTY FIFTY members regarding healthcare management, lack of support, and payment issues have all been proven false through legal proceedings. The former members committed illegal acts for the sole purpose of terminating their contracts, distorting the truth, and deceiving the public.”
The agency further stated: “Warner Music Korea, the main culprit behind the tampering, has attempted to illegally steal our precious artists through the logic of money and power. We will not surrender to this enormous power of capital and will fight back.”
Furthermore, Attract expressed regret, stating: “It is deeply regrettable that a company that is supposed to contribute to the development of K-pop through cooperation has been exposed as the force behind this unfortunate incident. From today onwards, we will consider legal action against Warner Music Korea and hold all those involved in the tampering accountable.”
