ATEEZ’s Hongjoong has been bombarded with claims that he shaded labels HYBE and founder Bang Si Hyuk in the lyrics of “SMB,” a fiery track he collaborated on with rapper Odetari.

As speculation intensified, KQ Entertainment released a statement, saying it “has no official position” on the matter, as per TELEVISION REPORT.

While many were enthusiastic about the track, others believed that some of the lyrics were direct jabs at the multi-label company and Bang, due to the former’s leaked internal document containing derogatory comments regarding other idols’ appearance and abilities.

Specifically, the mention of Bang would have been evident in some lines that read: “Why are you crazy? / You think you’ve made it, hitman? / If you have time to observe others / Then watch your back instead / Du-du- whatever, boom.”

Regarding the doc’s alleged recall, some lyrics state: “A life of jealousy and envy / Blindly mocks while slandering people with hurtful comments.”

HYBE’s internal dossier has become the center of discussion at the Culture, Sports and Tours Committee of the National Assembly. Due to the backlash received from the public, HYBE CEO Lee Jae Sang officially apologized to the affected artists, stakeholders and fans.

On social media platform X (formerly Twitter), ATEEZ fans, ATINYs, reacted to the lyrics.
