JYP entertainment it has moved a couple of times since it was started. Many will remember this iconic building in Gangnam.
They later moved in 2018 after acquiring a property in 2017. The new building is located in Gangdong.
With the success of TWICE, Stray children, NMIXX, Day6and also, the office will move once again. They recently held a competition for architects to win the role of designing their new building. The winner was Yoo Hyun Jun. Here are his plans and model for the new building.
He envisioned a natural wood theme that would go hand in hand with JYP Entertainment’s focus on wellness and organic foods. With clear glass windows, people can take a look at various rooms such as meeting rooms, cafeteria, rehearsal rooms and more. Privacy can be guaranteed through curtains. These glass windows all face inward, meaning the public won’t be able to get a glimpse into what’s going on in the company.
The exterior of the building will be kept modern and futuristic with a metallic theme. This is what the audience sees from the outside. A huge LED screen allows the company to promote artists and new releases.
Many found the design amazing, even though it would have cost a lot to build. The company is likely located on the outskirts of Seoul, given the large size of the property. Of course this is just a model and the actual design may vary depending on various factors.
