Kang Hoon recently appeared on the YouTube channel “Naraesik” and candidly shared his views on his ideal type and dating, attracting the attention of fans.
Kang Hoon is currently starring in the drama “Dear Hyeri”, playing Kang Joo-yeon, an awkward, lifelong single announcer.
However, Kang Hoon revealed that he is not a lifelong single in real life, and when it comes to relationships, he takes his time, watching carefully until he feels confident.
When asked what his ideal type was, Kang Hoon said he prefers someone “small and cute,” making the show’s host Park Na-rae blush.
He also surprised everyone by revealing that his first celebrity encounter was with actress Jeon Won-joo. He praised Park Na-rae’s laughter, saying that it makes people happy and that he wanted to hear her laugh in person.
Kang Hoon’s journey to becoming an actor began at the age of 17 when he quit basketball and was looking for a new dream. He was fascinated by Girls’ Generation and, from then on, decided to dedicate himself to acting.
Although she found singing and dancing too challenging, she thought acting was something she could try. Out of all the members, his favorite was Taeyeon.
He confessed that the only idol he ever liked was Taeyeon, even going so far as to visit the glasses shop run by Taeyeon’s family in Jeonju, pretending to have vision problems just to buy glasses there.
Kang Hoon shared “Taeyeon is the reason I became an actor”, passionately expressing his affection as a fan. He also sent a video message to Taeyeon, saying “It was a fiery love,” which made everyone around him laugh. Fans are now eagerly hoping for a touching photo of the two together.
Kang Hoon debuted in the 2009 short film “Gori,” but endured over 10 years of obscurity before gaining recognition.
During his journey, his older sister once discouraged him by saying: “What acting? Don’t get carried away.”
