On December 10, the operator of a crime news Instagram channel named A uploaded a blurry image of a man and a woman and claimed that they were Jo Se-ho and his wife.

A previously stated that they owned “a photo of Jo Se-ho drinking at gangster member Mr. Choi’s house with his wife before the wedding,” warning that they would reveal it if Jo Se-ho insisted the people were “just acquaintances.”
A underlined their intentions, writing: “My aim from the beginning has been only one: to expose the problem of illegal gambling and the damage it causes. I raised these concerns on the basis of verified facts. I have never asked anyone for money, nor have I been involved in any exchange of compensation.”
A also addressed Jo Se-ho’s side, hinting at legal action: “I will not avoid any legal process. Any false statements will be clarified legally. I have not acted to defame anyone. I will not make any further unnecessary allegations unless the false statements continue.”
The controversy began when A claimed that Jo Se-ho had ties to Mr Choi, a figure accused of running illegal gambling websites. Jo Se-ho’s agency, A2Z Entertainment, responded on December 5: “They are simply acquaintances. Allegations that Jo Se-ho received money or expensive gifts from Mr. Choi are completely false. We are considering legal action.”
