Reports have spread on social media that fromis_9 member Lee Saerom and AKMU’s Lee Chanhyuk have ended their alleged relationship.
Korean newspaper Xportsnews has released an exclusive report revealing that Saerom and Chanhyuk have broken up, according to entertainment industry insiders. The two separated in 2024 after a year of dating.
The dating rumors first became public in October 2022, when an internet user revealed that Saerom and Chanhyuk were spotted attending a seminar. In the workshop run by an acquaintance, the alleged couple purchased a work of art.
Additionally, the two have been spotted doing “lovestagrams,” where they upload photos to Instagram in similar positions. Saerom and Chanhyuk were also seen with matching couple rings.
At the time, Chanhyuk’s agency, YG Entertainment, responded to the rumors, saying, “It’s difficult to confirm since this is the artist’s private life.”
PLEDIS Entertainment, however, has remained silent on the matter.
With YG’s denial and PLEDIS’s indifference, the actions were ultimately considered signs of indirect confirmation of the relationship.
On X (formerly Twitter), fans had divisive reactions to the “breakup” news. Some netizens claimed that Saerom and Chanhyuk never dated, as the claims were started by infamous YouTuber Sojang.
