Ahn Ji-Young of Bolbbalgan4 has officially concluded his ten-year journey with Shofar Entertainment, marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new solo chapter.
On March 31, the beloved songwriter took his history of Instagram to personally announce the news, “Today I share the news that my contract with Shofar Entertainment, with whom I have been for 10 years, has ended.”
Reflecting on the last decade, Ahn Ji-Yung has shared a message full of pride and gratitude, “Since I gave everything every single day, I feel proud and carefree. Now, while I am before a new start, I know that the fans could worry, but I ask you to trust and follow me.”
He added a warm message to his fans, affectionately known as Loboly,* “I am enthusiastic about this new start with our Fandom, Looly. I will compete your support with excellent music, as promised.”**
Previously on the same day, Shofar Entertainment also confirmed the expiry of the contract in an official declaration, “We announce that the exclusive contract of Bolbbalgan4, which began in 2015, ended in March 2025. It was an honor to work with an artist who gave the universe through irresistible music.”
Ahn Ji-Young originally debut as part of the Bolbbalgan4 duo after appearing “Superstar K6” In 2014. The act risen to celebrity with their 2016 “Half album Red Ickle “ and viral blow “Galaxy,” followed by fans of fans such as “Bom”, “Tell me you love me” AND “To my youth.”
After Woo Ji-Yoon started from the group in April 2020, Ahn Ji-Young chose to continue as the only member of Bolbbalgan4, maintaining the identity and sound of the signature of the project.
