The KGMA organizing committee announced on September 11: “Winter and Nam Ji-hyun will be the MCs for the second day of the 1st Korea Grand Music Awards, which will be held on November 16 and 17 at the Inspire Arena in Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon.” The MCs on the first day, November 16, will be Hanni and Nam Ji-hyun of NewJeans.
Winter is the lead singer of the fourth-generation representative girl group aespa, known for her extraordinary vocal ability and soulful voice. She is highly regarded as one of the top talents among girl groups of her generation, participating in numerous projects such as OSTs and duets.
Nam Ji-hyun, who will be the host for both days, is currently starring in the drama “Good Partner,” in which she plays a rookie lawyer who cannot stand injustice. Nam Ji-hyun made her debut as a child actress in 2004 with “Say You Love Me” and made a memorable impression as the young Deokman in “Queen Seondeok.” She has continued to build her career in various genres, including thrillers and fusion historical dramas, such as “Suspicious Partner” and “100 Days My Prince.”
“2024 KGMA” will celebrate artists and music that have achieved significant success in various genres such as K-pop, trot, band, and solo music, beloved by domestic and international fans. The event is expected to be a festival that unites artists and fans.
The first lineup of artists participating in the awards ceremony includes NewJeans, NiziU, aespa, ATEEZ, ZEROBASEONE, and Taemin. The KGMA organizing committee plans to announce the second and third lineups soon.
Hanteo Chart will provide the digital and album data, while FanCast will handle the official fan vote. The event is hosted by Ilgan Sports (EdailyM) and organized by the KGMA organizing committee.
