At the “Melon Music Awards 2024”, (G)I-DLE‘S Soyeon put all the girl group speculation “uncertain future” we conclude with a surprise announcement about her and exclusive member contracts CUBE Entertainment.
(G)I-DLE’s Soyeon confirms that all members have renewed their contracts with Cube Entertainment
When he accepted “Record of the Year” Daesang award, Soyeon said the group spoke with the company before going on stage and agreed on the renewal.
There have been many articles about my contract [with the company] deadline which would lead to the dissolution of (G)I-DLE. But I can tell you that not only me, but all five of us have renewed our contracts. We talked about it [with the company] before taking this stage today. Whether it’s next year or the year after that, the five of us will be together for the rest of our lives, so please don’t worry. We’ll repay everyone with good music next year.

Listening in the audience were all four members of aespa, but Karina seemed to stand out “stressed out”. As soon as Soyeon drove “I have one last thing to say” Karina was seen placing her hand over her heart, preparing for whatever news was about to hit her.
Only when Soyeon clarified that all five members’ contracts had been renewed did she start clapping in relief, along with (G)I-DLE’s fans.
