Aespa member Karina impressed fans and viewers with her unexpected archery skills when she appeared alongside broadcaster Jang Do-yeon in the latest episode of Netflix’s travel variety show, “Getaway and go With Jandobra.”
The episode, which premiered on December 27, marked Karina’s debut as a traveling companion in the third season of “Getaway and Go With Jangdobari.” The two headed to Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, a city surrounded by nature, for an overnight trip full of various activities.
The collaboration fulfilled a long-standing wish of Karina, who previously suggested to Jang Do-yeon during an appearance on the YouTube variety show “Salon Drip 2” that they work together on a travel program, according to allkpop.
From the moment they began their trip, Karina showed genuine enthusiasm in spending time with Jang Do-yeon, who she has openly supported as a fan for years. Jang Do-yeon responded warmly to Karina’s energy, saying that the show itself was first imagined at Karina’s suggestion and calling her “like the mother of this program.” The episode captured their new chemistry as they created new memories together.
One of the standout moments involved an archery challenge. Karina attempted archery for the first time during the episode, and despite being a beginner, she demonstrated impressive skill with the bow. DIPE reported.
The two engaged in a competitive archery match, with the winner earning the role of Prince Jumong and the loser taking on the role of Mopalm. Karina’s performance surprised both Jang Do-yeon and the audience, as she held her own in the tough competition with her more experienced partner.
During the show, Karina also said she felt self-conscious about the length of her arm compared to her height, but once she picked up the bow, her expression changed as she became focused and competitive. His determination and unexpected talent in the sport added a fun element to the episode.
