Being the mega-popular idol that she is, it’s no wonder Karina’s photoshoots get a lot of attention, regardless of the brand. Unfortunately, this time a post criticizing her makeup went viral with over 90,000 views and brought some pretty negative attention to the photoshoot.
Karina’s photoshoot featured three distinct makeup styles, each highlighting different aspects of her appearance. Of these, the lighter, softer look was widely praised by fans and netizens alike. Many said that this look accentuated her natural beauty and was considered elegant and flattering.
In contrast, another makeup style from the same photoshoot, which featured heavier, more saturated makeup, sparked a wave of negative feedback. Netizens expressed their dissatisfaction with the overall heaviness, describing it as too intense and oppressive. Some even felt that the makeup obscured Karina’s natural features rather than enhancing them.
Criticism focused mainly on the stark contrast between the two styles: many argued that the heavier makeup was less flattering and made Karina’s usually stunning features appear less prominent.
However, some have speculated that the intense makeup was due to the lighting and the specific concept of the shoot, which called for a more dramatic look.
