On December 11, dating rumors involving Aespa’s winter AND ENHYPEN’s Jungwon emerged after an online user claimed to have seen the two idols together at a whiskey bar in Seoul’s Cheongdam district.
The post quickly gained attention, with an accompanying photo shared widely. However, both artists’ agencies quickly responded by denying the claims.
SM Entertainmentrepresenting Aespa, issued a strong statement, dismissing the rumors as unfounded. “The rumors are unfounded. The individual who disseminated the photo contacted a news outlet seeking monetary gain and attempted to communicate directly with us,” the agency’s statement reads. “When the outlet refused, stating that they did not facilitate such reports, the individual maliciously circulated the photo.” They then added, “We will be pursuing legal action to address this matter.”

In the meantime, BELIFT LABORATORYThe ENHYPEN agency also denied the rumors, underlining its commitment to protecting the privacy of its artists. “The Dating Rumors Are Not True” the agency said. “BELIFT LAB will take vigorous action against any acts that violate the privacy of our artists or create or spread harmful rumors.”
While some netizens were initially excited to hear that the idols were finding love while juggling their busy careers, it’s also important to note that the rumors were not true.
