On October 29, Karina from aespa appeared on the YouTube channel LeeMujin Service. During the show, host Lee Mu-jin said, “I hear you’re known for having an “AI face.” You are the origin of this new term and I wanted to ask you if you have ever thought about wanting to live life with a different face.“
Without hesitation, Karina replied: “Oh, very!“Surprised, Lee asked:”Truly? Are you not satisfied?” Karina explained: “I think the way I look is really polarizing. I’m grateful when people say I’m pretty, but honestly, sometimes I don’t really understand it.“
He added: “I have a bit of an edgy look, so sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have a softer, rounder face. My favorite faces are seniors Shin Min-ah, Shin Se-kyung, and Jun Ji-hyun. They have this classic beauty vibe. For a softer, sweeter look, I think of Park Bo-young. If I had the chance, I would love to experience it at least once.“
Later, when Lee joked, “I would never want to change my face,” Karina laughed and said, “Oh, I thought you were going to try it for a day! But if not, I won’t change mine either”, causing laughter among the audience.
