After the press conference, ADOR responded to NewJeans’ contract termination.
In the statement they revealed that they were unaware of the conference. The company added that the contract was still valid as the company did not betray trust or breach the agreement. They also shared that they have tried to hold meetings with NewJeans, but hope that they can help the group grow and work with them in the future.
“It is regrettable that members planned and carried out the press conference to terminate their exclusive contracts before receiving and sufficiently reviewing our response to their content certification.
As an interested party to the exclusive contract, ADOR has not breached the contract and their unilateral claims that trust has been betrayed cannot constitute a valid reason to cancel the contract. The contract between ADOR and NewJeans is still very valid. Therefore, we hope that NewJeans will be with ADOR for their future programs as they have done before.
We continuously asked to meet the members several times, but this did not happen. Even now, we hope we can meet with open hearts for a deep conversation. ADOR supports our artist NewJeans and their promotions and will do our best so that they can continue to grow as global artists.
