What an actor Jung Woo Sung done at the “45th Blue Dragon Film Awards” was unexpected. But what actress Lim Ji Yeon she has had to deal with something happening to her ever since Instagram the feed could be even more unexpected.
On November 29, 2024 (KST), Jung Woo Sung made his first public appearance at the awards show after news broke that he had a child with the model Luna Gabi broken. There, while accepting the award for his great K-Movie success, 12.12: The Dayhas addressed the scandal surrounding his personal life. He apologized for “causing concern” and claimed to do so “take full responsibility” for his son.

And it was during the awards show that actress Lim Ji Yeon was seen clapping and cheering for the troubled actor. Her reaction, along with similar ones from other celebrities sitting next to her, then triggered a backlash online…
…for being inappropriate, especially when compared to the idol-turned-actress’ reaction Hyeri From Girl’s Day.

And it seems the backlash has taken over Lim Ji Yeon’s social media platform too. Under her most recent posts, the actress saw comments condemning her behavior.
- “I hope you take the time to learn what it means to applaud someone. I will no longer follow.”
- “You’re the only actress I started following with interest… So seeing you rooting for Jung Woo Sung was incredibly disappointing. You didn’t think about your fans. I hope you can learn from this and reflect. Just remember that fans will only stick around stars who are genuine and fair. The ones who have a positive impact on the world, you know.
- “I’m your fan… but I don’t understand why you were so excited to see Jung Woo Sung on stage. What was it about? That was a huge turning point, haha. I mean, don’t you feel bad for your classmates? One became a single mother. Two others were betrayed.”
- “I love you.”
- “Moon Gabi was a female celebrity in showbiz. Did you think about the last two years he spent in pain when you clapped for Jung Woo Sung? It was so disappointing to see you act like that. Some of Lim’s fans attempted to defend her, claiming that the actress was present “business mode” for her “boss,” as is Jung Woo Sung (together Lee Jung Jae) the founder and director of his management label.
Lim Ji Yeon did not respond to comments. Meanwhile, she remains unfazed as she posts another photo of herself as Gu Deok JTBCit’s the new K-Drama, The story of Lady Ok.
