December 28th APAN Star Awards 2024 took place, honoring several actors for their performances in K-Dramas this year.
Actor Lee Yi Kyung was in attendance, having earned a nomination for his performance in Marry my husband. Lee played the main character’s cheating husband, a villain role different from his previous appearances in drama films.
For his performance, Lee received numerous nominations, including the “Excellence Award – Actor in a Miniseries” at APAN Star Awards.
Lee ultimately won the award and gained attention for his speech and an unexpected shout-out to an ex-girlfriend.
In 2018, Lee appeared in Welcome to Waikikiduring which his relationship with his co-star Jung In Sun has been revealed. The couple had been dating for a year but broke up a few months after the announcement.
During his speech, Lee highlighted how the nomination allowed him to meet other celebrities, including Kim Tae Ri. He also shared that he was grateful to the judges for allowing him to meet Jung In Sun and congratulated her on the award she won during the ceremony.
