The employee claimed that the owner refused to give him his salary.
A horrific murder has occurred in Seosan, South Korea, where the owner of a local kimbap restaurant died after being attacked by one of her employees in what appears to be a dispute over unpaid wages.
Seosan police revealed on October 27 that they had arrested a male employee, referred to as “A”, in his 50s, on suspicion of assault resulting in death.
The attack occurred on October 11 at around 10.30am in the restaurant where both “A” and the owner (referred to as “B”) worked together. During the confrontation, A allegedly attacked B and, in a shocking moment, doused her with boiling water. B was quickly taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment but died from her injuries nearly two weeks later on October 24.
According to police statements, A explained his actions by claiming that he was angry about the unpaid salary, which he had allegedly asked for on the day of the attack. When B allegedly denied his request, A said he acted out of anger.
The police are conducting further investigations to find out all the details of the crime. Meanwhile, the news went viral in Korea and netizens reacted to the disturbing murder.
- “It’s ridiculous how they avoid mentioning gender when the perpetrator is a man, LOL.”
- “Why would anyone believe what a criminal says?”
- “Who would trust the words of someone who just killed another person?”
- “Wow, what a complete fool.”
- “I understand that people can get angry… but does it really get to this point? This is beyond disturbing. And the way he did it? Too brutal.”
