Could it be more than just a friendly gesture?
Journalist turned TV star Jun Hyun Moothe interaction with a hoobae journalist 20 years his junior has since been interpreted as something more than just a friendly gesture.
In a teaser for an upcoming episode of KBS‘S Head to the mirrorjournalist Hong Joo Yeon was seen receiving a surprise gift from Jun Hyun Moo. Fellow journalist Eom Ji In he delivered a revealing cake and postcard “Hyun Moo sent Sunbae [them]” for Hong Joo Yeon after learning that she would have to work the night shift on Christmas Eve.
The postcard, written in Jun Hyun Moo’s handwriting, read: “Working late on Christmas Eve? I hope this makes you feel festive, even just a little.”
Considering how thoughtful and personal the gift was, Head to the mirror hosts watching from the studio speculated that there might be something more than sunbae-hoobae camaraderie between the two. Indeed, guest Kim Souk fueled the dating rumors even more as she jokingly hinted at it “Jun Hyun Moo’s style has changed drastically recently.”
Previously on the same show, Hong Joo Yeon admitted that Jun Hyun Moo is her “ideal type”. Given this history, Head to the mirror hosts and viewers couldn’t help but wonder if a 2025 couple is truly in the making.
Jun Hyun Moo has had two very public relationships with the model Han Hye Jin and journalist Lee Hye Sung. After breaking up with Lee Hye Sung in 2022, Jun Hyun Moo remained single, although in 2024, after being spotted with a ring on his finger, it was rumored that Jun Hyun Moo would get married and leave the cast of I live alone.
