Zhang received a one-year social media ban for participating in the show. As of November 1, Zhang’s suspension has been lifted and her Weibo and Douyin (Chinese TikTok) accounts, which had been inactive since the suspension, no longer show messages saying that Zhang was banned for violating the law and rules of the platform.

Because Zhang publicly posted photos of Crazy Horse, his ban was extended to a year.
