Want MOVES be able to change things after becoming the “ugly duckling” in the world of entertainment? Korean print Dailian he interjected, calling HYBE “lie” this is leading other K-Pop companies to rethink associating with HYBE artists and its labels.
According to Dailian, HYBE is “waiting for time to solve the problem rather than addressing the fundamental issues at hand.” But it seems other K-Pop companies are looking for more.
HYBE’s current predicament stems from an internal document revealed during the audit. The doc included blunt criticism of K-Pop artists, companies, and even the fandoms of competitors large and small, such as SM Entertainment, JYP entertainment, YG entertainmentand others. As additional parts of the document were revealed and spread across online communities, HYBE found itself facing a backlash that spiraled out of control.
HYBE’s internal documents expose shocking insults towards RIIZE
CEO of HYBE, Lee Jae Sanghe has since apologized for the “inappropriate internal document”, claiming to have “I have contacted each agency of the artists mentioned and apologized directly to them.”
We would like to respectfully and officially apologize to the artists who were mentioned in the documents and who were harmed by them. We have also contacted each agency of the artists mentioned and apologized to them directly. We also sincerely apologize to our HYBE artists, who are taking the blame for their company.

The K-Pop companies told Dailian, however, that no such apology had been received. An inside source said: “It is appalling that HYBE, as an industry leader, would create and share such a shameful document.”
It is appalling that HYBE, as an industry leader, would create and share such a shameful document. We are devastated by the situation. HYBE said it will contact each agency named in the document to apologize, but no such action has been taken. It seems like they’re trying to pretend it was done and sweep it under the rug, since it’s something that’s hard to verify anyway.

Another source expressed frustration with HYBE “reduce the entire K-Pop scene to low-quality culture” with his actions, and that “There is a growing sentiment in the industry to avoid contact with HYBE” in an effort to protect their artists from disrespect in the document once again.
The many K-Pop groups insulted in HYBE’s internal documents
K-Pop has long been criticized for the commercialization of idols, and those of us in the industry have worked hard to create a better environment. But after the HYBE document was leaked, it seems that all these efforts have been in vain. The very fact that such a document has existed, for so long, demonstrates HYBE’s values and perspective.
HYBE artists and its labels still have huge influences in the K-Pop scene, so there will continue to be demand for “challenges” and cooperative stages. But… the thought that HYBE will “rate” our artists and/or their interactions to boost their reputation is chilling. There is a growing sentiment in the industry to avoid contact with HYBE. We can only hope that HYBE’s actions don’t end up reducing the entire K-Pop scene to a low-quality industry or culture.

HYBE has since been urged to speak again, as no further statements were made following the CEO’s allegedly misleading apology. In particular, the silence of the president of HYBE, Bang Si Hyukwho was implicated in ordering the drafting and sharing of the controversial document, is believed to say a lot as suspicion and mistrust grow.
