The rumors, which quickly spread across forums and social media, claim that Yuna’s body shape has changed significantly since her teenage years, prompting some to accuse her of surgical enhancement. However, ITZY fans and other netizens came to his defense, disputing these unfounded claims and pointing out the natural progression of physical growth.
Some even accused the post of being part of a reverse viral marketing tactic MOVES.
The most recent post went viral on Pann, where the original poster listed photos of Yuna during different ITZY eras and how her body shape has changed over the years. The post has so far garnered more than 180,000 views and hundreds of comments.
Many netizens in the comments on the post point out that changes in one’s body during adolescence and early adulthood are normal. Fans argue that it is unfair to claim surgery when a male idol’s changes are labeled as “growth”, while a female idol’s growth is scrutinized as artificial. Many point out that Yuna debuted at the age of 15, still in the midst of her formative years. As he matured, his body evolved naturally, which is not only expected but also common.
Supporters have also questioned the motivations behind these recurring rumors, suggesting that reverse marketing or targeted negative campaigns may be at play.
