The fifth generation group is criticized for their baffling live encore performance

Netizens were not impressed…

The popular fifth generation girl group TripleS came under fire following a recent music show win and their subsequent encore performance.

Although TripleS has a solid international fan base, they are still gaining recognition among Korean audiences, making their music show wins relatively rare. Especially because securing such wins has become increasingly difficult for groups outside of the Big 4 agencies.

However, the huge girl group – consisting of 24 members – recently achieved a notable victory through its latest unit, Visionary Vision. The 12-member subgroup recently released the single “Hit the floor” and managed to score a win on “The Show” for its impressive sales and fan support. Unfortunately, instead of impressing with their vocals, their encore performance left Korean listeners completely disappointed.

After their performance ended, The show uploaded the video to YouTube. Since then, it has quickly gone viral on Korean forums, where it has managed to garner over 41,000 views, although not for the right reasons.

Korean netizens were left baffled by the disappointing rumors, as more than 600 comments criticized the girl group and their management agency.

  • “This is the worst so far…”
  • “Are all 24 of them like this…? I don’t really know this song, but there were a few other songs that I thought were good. What happened to the voice here?”
  • “Oh… that’s uncomfortable to listen to. I had to stop.”
  • “I’m so freaked out I can’t even figure out what the melody is. Isn’t this their song? I’ve never seen a group perform so poorly together before.
  • “They’re not singers.”
  • “And it seems like they’re trying to avoid singing by doing other things on stage.”
  • “Even if it was a dance unit, they should have at least added a lead singer.”
  • “Moment of silence…”
