Actress Han So Hee revealed the heartbreaking reason why her public birthday is different from her real birthday.
Recently, a photo attracted attention seemingly showing that instead of being born in 1994 as her official profile states, Han So Hee was born in 1993.
While it’s not uncommon for celebrities to publicly have a different birth date, Han So Hee and her agency were quick to respond to the conversation. Notably, the actress’ agency 9Ato Entertainment explained that Han So Hee was born in 1993 but says she was born in 1994 due to her mother’s past cheating allegations.
In a statement to the outlet Ten Asia, Han So Hee explained what happened.
When I was about to enter the fourth grade, I was forcibly taken to Ulsan because my mother was wanted by the authorities. Then I spent a year at home without attending school, and after my mother was incarcerated, I returned to Wonju and re-enrolled in the fourth grade.

The actress then added that she has been in the same class as those born in 1994 since the fourth grade. When the statement was shared, netizens expressed their sympathy for Han So Hee and the fact that she had to reveal such an intimate and heartbreaking moment in her life to appease any “haters.”
