Scary encounters are not uncommon, even for our favorite K-pop idols. That said, many K-pop artists have shared their examples with the supernatural.
Here are 5 K-pop artists who shared their scary encounters!
1. Red Velvet Seulgi
On September 5, 2021, Seulgi uploaded her Halloween “Seulspecial” to “SEULGI.ZIP”. Seulgi shared this during her high school days. The “Cosmic” singer said he slept soundly after an exhausting day.
However, Seulgi added:
“Someone was knocking on the door from outside. There was a frantic knocking. Strangely, I felt that I had to open the door. Usually, you get scared and feel strange after hearing this sound, don’t you? But I was like , ‘Who’s knocking on the door is so loud and disturbing?’
Seulgi then opened the door, and “something” laughed in her ears. But the idol was smart enough to know that it was a nightmare dream all along, which made her finally wake up!
2. VIVIZ SinB
During his time with his girlfriend, SinB once revealed that he encountered a ghost in the rehearsal room. What was even more disturbing was that the idol described the ghost as someone who looked exactly like her. He revealed:
“When the others practiced, they said they saw me when I wasn’t there.”
3. BIGBANG Taeyang
Taeyang once shared his ghost stories despite being initially skeptical. The idol once explained how he and the members experienced the supernatural in some areas of the YG building.
“While we were taking a shower, we heard someone knocking on the door. After we turned off the computer, we heard a strange noise coming from the speakers. I didn’t believe it when the other members told me about it. I said, ‘Stop making up stories,'” or “Was it the wind or did you just imagine it.”
Taeyang continued:
“Then one day, it was summer, it was raining a lot and it was very dark outside, even though it was morning. I got up before the other members and was getting ready. I was sure that the computer in the room had been turned off and suddenly I heard a ticking sound from the speakers.
The sound of speakers turning on was followed by radio noise, as if someone was speaking in tongues. I got so scared that I went back into the bedroom bathroom and started washing myself. But suddenly I heard someone trying to open the door by turning the handle.
First I thought it was one of the boys trying to scare me because I never believed it when they told me about it and said it was nonsense. I was a little scared, so I shouted, “Stop doing that!” Stop it!’ Then I came out from there and went towards the door when suddenly someone kicked the door hard.
I froze and stood there for 10 seconds and when I opened the door, the kids were all asleep.”
4. CRAVITY Taeyoung
During an episode of “BT PARK,” Taeyoung shared his scary encounter in an elevator.
“When I was in middle school, before I started practicing, I practiced late at night at the dance academy, and around 1 in the morning, classical music was always playing in the elevator. They played box music, but for some reason, it seemed scary that day.
Then I thought I got to the fourth floor with the elevator since my house was on the fourth. I was looking at myself in the mirror. The elevator wasn’t going up but I didn’t know that and I was just watching. I started wondering, why hasn’t (the elevator) arrived yet?
When I looked at the panel, floor 25 lit up. 14, 15, it kept going up so I deleted the 25 and hit the fourth. If you turn off the elevator button, doesn’t it stop on the next floor? He was supposed to head to the fourth after it closed, but the fourth floor button suddenly went off, and he suddenly reached the 25th by himself.”
5. Arosa Eunji
In “Knowing Bros”, Eunji shared a chilling story that happened in the group’s dormitory. According to the idol, he recalled the moment he heard the group’s door open, which signals that someone had left or entered.
Eunji thought someone had left but the idol kept hearing restless noises, leading her to check the rest of the room. When Eunji inspected the area, she saw bandmate Hayoung and asked if she had just gone out, only for Hayoung to tell her, “I thought you went out.”
