The perpetrator of Jessi’s attack was reportedly identified by a YouTuber via a website’s referrer ID and is said to be part of a gang

The information was revealed through a YouTube channel. On October 28, the “Shamu” channel posted a video titled “[Exclusive] Jessi Involved Assault Case Perpetrator Joker Name, Age Revealed,” which speculated on the identity of the individual who attacked Jessi’s fan.

According to the channel, the perpetrator has an Instagram account with a username that combines “Why so serious?”, a famous line from the villain Joker in the film The Dark Knight-with a number, which led to him being called “Joker”.

The person called “Joker” on Instagram had linked to the website of a cosmetics company in his profile. The YouTuber identified the user’s name by searching for the “referrer” ID on that website, revealing the name “Justin Ma.”

The name was searched using a service that helps find people and information surfaced indicating a person living in the San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles, California, USA.

It turned out that Justin Ma was born in September 1987, and it was noted that the numeric ID on the Instagram account began with “09”, which corresponded to the month of his birth.

Additionally, an email account linked to Justin Ma was revealed and matched the ID of a YouTube account where a video posted 16 years ago identified him as the perpetrator. This further strengthened suspicions.

The alleged perpetrator, referred to as “A”, was accused of indiscriminately assaulting someone who came to ask to take a photo with Jessi in Apgujeong, Gangnam, Seoul, on the 29th of last month. Jessi did not intervene at the time and left the scene. When the police, alerted by the victim’s complaint, asked Jessi’s group about the whereabouts of the perpetrator, they reportedly responded: “We don’t know.”

Jessi’s side clarified, saying: “We have no relationship with the perpetrator, and he is a Chinese friend of a producer who Jessi is close with.” The police summoned both Jessi and the producer for questioning.

Several speculative posts about alleged perpetrator “A” also emerged. Rumors claim that the man is part of a gang that operates mainly in Los Angeles and is of Taiwanese origin. The gang is reportedly involved in drug trafficking and gambling as its main sources of income.

On the 23rd, Jessi posted her second apology on Instagram. Although she had previously apologized, public criticism had not abated, prompting her to issue a further statement. He wrote, “I wish I could go back to that time” expressing regret. “If I had taken a photo with the victim, if I had been more proactive in protecting him, if I had gone directly to the police station, or if I had given an appropriate apology, the victim would not have suffered so much.”
