NCT’s Doyoung has fans full of excitement as he prepares for his next solo release! At midnight KST on October 28, Doyoung surprised fans with teasers for his new single “Icy,” scheduled for release on November 6 at 6pm KST.
The solo single marks his comeback following his successful first studio album “Youth” released in April 2024, and the Solo tour of “Cara Gioventù”.which started with three sold-out dates in Seoul from 25 to 27 May 2024.
Doyoung over the years
Doyoung’s musical journey began in 2015 when he was introduced as a trainee to SM Entertainment’s pre-debut team, SM rookies. His talent quickly caught the attention of fans, and in April 2016 he made his official debut as a member of NCT’s first rotation unit, NCT U. Known for his strong vocal abilities and versatility, Doyoung brought a new dynamic to the group’s experimental concept. TThe following year, in January 2017, he joined NCT 127, the Seoul-based sub-unit known for its powerful performances and distinctive musical style, solidifying his presence as the group’s core member.
In April 2023, Doyoung expanded his artistic scope by joining NCT’s new trio subunit, NCT DoJaeJungalong with other members Jaehyun and Jungwoo. The subunit allows Doyoung to show off a different side to his art, focusing on harmonies and a more mature musical style that highlights his vocal range.
