The public is now criticizing his past behavior after the filming of his married life with Yulhee, which aired on KBS “Mr. House Husband 2” in 2019, it gained renewed attention.
In a video titled “Drinks with friends after work! Min-hwan’s happiness” published on “KBS Entertainment” channel, Choi Min-hwan was shown asking Yulhee’s permission to drink. Although Yulhee had prepared braised short ribs for a family dinner, Choi Min-hwan called to ask, “Is it okay if I have a drink with some acquaintances since it’s been a while?” Then he added in an aegyo (cute) voice: “Can I have a drink before I go home?”
When Yulhee, looking flustered, asked “What time will you be home?” Choi Min-hwan responded, “I will leave at midnight after drinking.” Yulhee then replied: “Okay, take your time drinking and go home,” to which Choi Min-hwan replied with a smile in his aegyo tone, “Okay, thanks.” After hanging up, the footage shows Yulhee sadly emptying the meal she had prepared, drawing sympathy from viewers.
This resurfaced video has sparked outrage among many viewers. Internet users commented, “She was actually surprised that he had to ask permission because he had never done so before the show,” “He lost his qualification as a human being,” AND “Yulhee, please be happy.”
Meanwhile, on October 24, Yulhee revealed through her channel that her ex-husband Choi Min-hwan often visited adult entertainment venues. In response, Choi Min-hwan expressed his sense of responsibility for disappointing many viewers and audiences, stating: “I will cease all media activities, including broadcast programs in which I appear with my children.”
Yulhee married Choi Min-hwan in 2018 and they have a son and two daughters together. Last year the couple announced their divorce after five years of marriage. Choi Min-hwan currently has custody of their three children.
