Fans have been wary for a long time.
Fans have suspected this for years TXT“0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)” was based on a famous OTP Yeonjun AND Beomgyu fanfiction for years. The fanfiction, Crazy summer, was published on PostType by a writer called Kyrie. The fanfiction became so popular that an official version of the book was eventually released with the names changed. Therefore, the writer publishes their story on PostType only for a short time each year as a service to fans who still want to read it under the original names.
Suspicions were raised by 2023, when the fanfiction saw a huge increase in virality despite having been published years earlier. Fans found too many similarities between the lyrics and the music video of “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)” and Crazy summer. Here are some of the most obvious similarities.
1. “Bottomless Pit”
The word for “abyss” or “bottomless pit” in Korean is often “Shimyeon.” Crazy summer he used the word unique “mujeogaeng”, which is a term unknown even to many Koreans. “Mujeogaeng” is used in the lyrics of the song.

You are the only (one) shining gold
Now I can’t stop thinking about you” pic.twitter.com/jVLofFxHBi— alina❤️🩹 (@vixengyu) September 25, 2023
2. Romeo and Juliet
According to this fan, Crazy summerYeonjun loves the movie Romeo and Juliet. One of the most iconic scenes in the film is the aquarium scene where the two protagonists meet for the first time. A similar scene appears in the music video.
3. “Tell me you love me”
The lyrics of “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)” contain the lines “tell me you love me, tell me you love me.” Also in the music video, Yeonjun hums the song in the intro. A famous paragraph in Crazy summer it reads “Yeonjun suddenly looked at Beomgyu. Beomgyu replies [redacted]. “Love me, love me, tell me you love me.” Yeonjun follows Beomgyu’s humming and continues, “go ahead and tease me.”‘”
4. Drug theme
In Crazy summerYeonjun is a drug dealer and Beomgyu dies due to drug use. The drug theme is prevalent in the music video and the song’s lyrics, which read “Please use me like a drug.”
5. Paradise theme
Crazy summer relies heavily on the theme of heaven and redemption. In the lyrics of the song, the lines “I probably can’t go to heaven. It doesn’t suit me. There is no place for me in heaven“are present.
While it may have been a coincidence, fans wondered how so many themes were used at once. Their suspicions were apparently confirmed when HYBE’s internal report was revealed during a recent audit. The report contained information on Crazy summer like a famous fanfiction in the fandom. It demonstrated that staff were acutely aware of its presence and its contents.
Crazy summer: A fanfiction released early in the debut. I’m not sure if the writer is just being sneaky, but they only release the fanfiction for casual viewing in order to self-handle any problems that arise. Maybe that’s why it became a total hit among fourth-generation fandoms. Last week, X started trending about making it public again for the first time in a long time and [redacted]. … Thanks to fanfiction, in the early days, fantasies about the Yeonjun X Beomgyu OTP had become too big. But the two argue a lot in real life, and the members also have the vibe of cousins who spend all summer vacations together, so it wasn’t a good environment for OTP stans to be active. … Currently, fourth-generation fandoms are not active on PostType, but the fanfiction is almost strangely popular. We think it’s related to how it’s reminiscent of fangirl vibes from the past generation.
