Woo Kyung Jun will leave NEW SIX before military enlistment
On October 23, P NATION officially announced that Woo Kyung Jun, a member of THE NEW SIX (TNX), will join the military and permanently resign his role in the group. According to the agency’s statement, Woo Kyung Jun has decided to fulfill his military duty and will not resume group activities after completing his service. This decision marks a significant turning point for both the artist and the group.
“Kyung Jun recently informed us of his decision to join the military and leave THE NEW SIX once he completes his service. After much discussion, P NATION and Kyung Jun mutually agreed to terminate his exclusive contract. As of October 23, 2024, Kyung Jun will leave THE NEW SIX“, reads the statement.
Woo Kyung Jun first attracted public attention through SBS’s survival show “STRONG” in 2021, where he competed against numerous trainees to secure his place in TNX below NATION P. Since then, he has also showcased his talent through releases and group performances, contributing to TNX’s growing popularity.
Recently, TNX participated in Mnet’s competitive show “Road to Kingdom: ACE OF ACE”, where Woo Kyung Jun’s performances were also well received by fans and showcased the group’s potential in the competitive K-pop landscape.
While the announcement may disappoint fans who have followed his journey since “LOUD,” P NATION expressed gratitude for his contributions to the group and support for his future endeavors. Fans are now sending best wishes to Kyung Jun as he embarks on his military service, awaiting updates on TNX’s activities as a five-member group.
