Leaked internal report exposes HYBE’s plans to sabotage K-pop groups like aespa, IVE, NMIXX and more

During the National Assembly’s state audit, HYBE representatives presented internal documents that included a shocking ploy by the agency against K-pop idols from other labels.

On October 24, a state audit took place during the National Assembly which summoned HYBE executives as contact persons for monitoring the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Tourism.

Following internal information leaked from the assembly and widely circulated online, this triggered most K-pop fans after reading negative passages about other companies’ artists from HYBE.

In the document, HYBE cited aespa’s “poor live singing skills” at Coachella 2024, IVE members having plastic surgery, calling trainees SM, DKZ, and ZEROBASEONE “ugly,” and accusing NMIXX of supporting feminists.

It is also implied that the company has something to do with Seunghan’s past photos circulating online, as well as criticism directed at RIIZE for their dancing skills.

While it was not explicitly stated that HYBE said these things, K-pop fans were furious as to why the company felt the need to compile these statements and share them with their executives, sparking claims that they used them to plan a negative media game against those mentioned. -over the idols.

In a now-deleted statement, HYBE addressed this issue.

“The contents were only shared with selected internal personnel for reference and only reflected how (netizens) react on SNS and online communities to the letter. It does not reflect HYBE’s official position (regarding the issues).”

HYBE further stated that the entire report also contains positive reviews from the Internet and said that they were framed to look bad by selecting negative comments and making it appear as if they were criticizing the artists.

Finally, HYBE issued a warning.

“We will ensure that whoever conducted this activity takes full responsibility.”
