There are pros and cons.
BTS‘S Jin is busy preparing for his solo comeback with the album HAPPY and the pre-release single “I’ll Be There,” following the success of the extended version of the hit single “Super Tuna.”
Now, Jin is the cover star of Vogue Japanin December to celebrate the magazine’s 25th anniversary.
Jin did not just do a photo shoot but an interview with the magazine, reflecting on his life and career. The interviewer asked, “Is there a difference in your mentality when you perform and write songs as part of BTS and when you are solo?”
Jin explained that he likes the freedom of working as a solo artist because he does everything himself and makes many creative choices. However, he feels a lot of pressure, so he feels more relaxed when working with members.
When I work alone I have to do everything myself. So I have a lot of freedom and can do what I want, but at the same time I also feel a sense of pressure. In the group, even if I am lacking in some areas, I feel reassured because the members are there with me, so I am calmer.
