The episode, which aired on October 22, revealed Yul-hee’s fortune reading on the Chosun TV channel program “All by myself.”
In the episode, Yul-hee visited a fortune teller with her childhood friend. The fortune teller began by saying: “I’ll tell you everything exactly as I see it,” and proceeded to make significant observations about Yul-hee, stating: “You are sensitive and particular to an extreme level,” AND “You are incredibly intelligent, quick to adapt and good at handling situations.” The reading also accurately identified his aptitude for the arts and physical activities. The fortune teller explained: “Your environment changes in 10-year cycles, and during these transitions you experience divorce, separation, or loss.”
The fact that these accurate readings were taken without any prior information about Yul-hee left everyone stunned. The fortune teller continued: “You must have met men early in life and the pregnancy led to marriage, but maintaining the marriage would not be possible.” When Yul-hee replied, “Actually, I’ve been there before.” added the fortune teller: “You have no luck when it comes to men” and explained, “If you had continued to live together, you would have developed a mental illness or needed psychiatric help for depression. Divorce was actually the best option.” When the soothsayer added, “You must have felt suffocated, developed depression, or gone through extremely difficult times, feeling like you were going to die,” Yul-hee confirmed it was true, getting chills.
Afterwards, Yul-hee asked about the fate of her children and how they would view her as a mother. Surprisingly, without any prior information, the fortune teller asked: “You’re not raising your kids alone, are you?” and declared, “It shows in your luck that you are not breeding them.” The soothsayer predicted, “It seems that (the children) will look for their mother later,” which made Yul-hee emotional, saying: “That’s why I have to work harder to live well.”
The fortune teller assured her: “Later you can bring them to live with you and you will have the means to do so.” He added, “Your children are intelligent and will grow up well, only now is not the time for them to be with their mother.”
He also predicted, “After your next lucky cycle (in your 30s), you will have a comfortable relationship with your children.” After hearing this, Yul-hee expressed her relief, saying: “Now I feel more comfortable, it’s lucky” and added, “I wanted to be good to my kids, and now I feel like I can – it’s been very comforting.”
