Recently, BLACKPINK’s Rosé released the new solo song “APT.”, in which she collaborated with global pop star Bruno Mars, and has been posting content related to the song since then.
Notably, the female idol had an interview with Z100, where she was asked if she had thought about what she wanted to do on stage.
In response to this, Rosé replied, “To be honest, since I had never had 12 songs in my life, only had 2 right, I had to live it up a bit.”
According to Rosé, she too has been experimenting and is looking forward to showing off her many new songs to fans, but only when it feels right.
Hearing this sharing from Rosé, especially the “diss” that YG only allowed Rosé to release 2 solo songs (not counting those included in BLACKPINK’s albums), both netizens and fans became angry. According to them, BLACKPINK was essentially “restrained” by YG Entertainment and not given creative freedom, while other male artists in the company were able to do so.
“Seeing them this year doing their thing and being successful, I really don’t understand why YGE/Teddy held them back.”one netizen wrote, adding“You can say they can do it themselves. Why can’t they just give them that freedom, just like they did with their male artists.”
“Poor girl, you should have had more songs as a solo debut in years. Fuck YG”, another complained.
Meanwhile, the same interview also shows Rosé expressing her gratitude for the other BLACKPINK members, who never fail to show her support in her artistic endeavors.
