“Culinary Class Wars” Confirms Production of Season 2 “Thanks to the Viewers”

On October 15, Netflix confirmed production of the second season of the popular cooking show “Culinary Class Wars,” continuing the trend of cooking competition shows.

Since its release on September 17, “Culinary Class Wars” has ranked first in Netflix’s TOP 10 Non-English TV category for three consecutive weeks. Thanks to its success, Netflix has officially given the green light to season 2, which will feature even more fierce cooking battles and will be released in the second half of next year.

For the second season, the creators of the first season, including producers Kim Hak-min, Kim Eun-ji and writer Mo Eun-seol, will return to offer an updated version of the cooking competition. The producers said: “Thanks to the viewers, we managed to get to the second season. We will do our best to meet your expectations and repay your love.

“Culinary Class Wars” captivated viewers around the world with its unprecedented cooking competition missions, its dynamic sports-like intensity and unpredictable twists that kept viewers on the edge of their seats. Fierce competition between chefs truly passionate about cooking, combined with overwhelming scale and constant surprises, created electrifying excitement and dopamine rushes for fans.

A major attraction was the trip of top culinary mentors, including Baek Jong-won, one of Korea’s leading restaurateurs, and Ahn Sung-jae, the only 3-Michelin-star chef in Korea. Baek Jong-won’s extensive experience and popular appeal, combined with Ahn Sung-jae’s culinary precision in evaluating everything from cooking techniques to chefs’ creative intentions, have brought a new dimension to culinary competitions.

Following the global phenomenon of “Culinary Class Wars,” Netflix has come up with more exciting shows to continue the trend, including “Comedy Revenge,” “Zombieverse: New Blood” and “Rugged Rugby: Conquer or Die.” These new releases aim to showcase the strength of Korean culinary survival shows.

In “Culinary Class Wars,” highly skilled non-famous chefs (“Black Spoons”) challenge Korea’s top celebrity chefs (“White Spoons”) in a fierce competition with 100 contestants. You can watch the first season of “Culinary Class Wars” now on Netflix.
